From the field to our customers

Choice of varieties
Quality starts with the right choice of potato variety. We stay in close contact with seed potato breeders so we always have access to the best varieties available.

Growing
Our relationships with our growers are very important. We know we can rely on one another and that we share the same goal; supplying today’s consumers with the best quality potatoes. We visit our growers regularly to see how their potatoes are doing.

Quality control
Before a shipment is delivered, we already receive multiple samples, allowing us to assess the crop’s internal and external quality, flavour and cooking traits. After one last quality inspection, the shipment is cleared for unloading.

Washing and grading
The potatoes must be washed and sorted. An optical sorting machine removes damaged and discoloured potatoes, after which they are also checked manually. Only the best potatoes are allowed to pass on to the packaging department.

Packaging
Depending on the packaging type and size, the crates are neatly filled by hand or using a robot and automatically stacked on pallets.

Outgoing goods inspection
Our quality officer subjects outgoing shipments to one last inspection to check that everything meets requirements before they are loaded.

To the distribution centres
The prepared pallets are loaded for transport to the distribution centres and the customer receives an automatic notification that their order is on its way.

On the shelves
The distribution centres send the crates of potatoes on to the shops or wholesalers. Here, customers can choose between an extensive selection of potatoes to find the ones that fit their needs.

Onto plates
This way, consumers can enjoy the best possible potatoes in their own home or at a restaurant.
